NANOPHOX
NANOPHOX is a Sympatec measurement system based on dynamic light scattering (DLS), designed specifically for analysing the size distribution of nanoparticles and colloidal systems in liquids. It offers a highly sensitive and rapid method for measuring nanoparticles, where even small changes can have a significant impact on the behaviour of the material.
The system measures particle size by analysing fluctuations in the intensity of scattered light from particles undergoing Brownian motion. The measurement is particularly suitable for the range of approximately 0,3–10,000 nm, covering a wide variety of nanodispersions, emulsions and colloidal systems. NANOPHOX enables the monitoring of both particle size and system stability, making it a useful tool for both research and quality control applications.
Most common applications
- Developments in nanomaterials
- The stability of emulsions and colloids
- Pharmacy and Formulation
- QC for nano-sized dispersions
- Research and development
NANOPHOX enables measurements to be taken from highly turbid and optically challenging samples, where light scattering and absorption limit the use of conventional systems. Sympatec’s optical design is engineered to handle higher concentrations and less transparent dispersions without compromising the reliability of the measurement results.
