General information

Nicolet Summit X is a new addition to the Thermo FTIR range. The system has appealing features: high-quality and compact optics and a modern interface make the system a reliable instrument for a modern laboratory. Nicolet Summit X is an excellent choice as a quality control tool or for a teaching laboratory. Thanks to its compact size, it can easily be moved from one site to another. The analyser is controlled via the modern and visually pleasant OMNIC Paradigm software on PC.

Via the software, you can choose automated background measuring, in which case the user has access to a fresh background, saving time. Another useful feature is the automatisation of repeating measurements with the practical workflow functions. This helps streamline routine processes and avoid errors in setting measuring parameters, especially if the system has multiple users. Results archiving and complex calculations can be integrated in to the workflow, allowing the user to see the results only.

Various accessories are available for the system. The accessories by the most common FTIR manufacturers are also compatible with Thermo systems. Thermo monolithic diamond ATR (Everest ATR) is an extremely versatile and durable accessory suited for measuring both solid and liquid sampels. The OMNIC Paradigm software includes comprehensive spectrum libraries, making the system ready for identifying unknown samples directly after installtion. In the mid-infrared range, quantitative determination (content measuring, reaction monitoring) is available based on the calibration models made with Thermo software.
